Youth Mission Trip

Help us go on our mission trip!

A fundraising campaign for Delta Hands for Hope

Delta Hands for Hope is a non-profit in Shaw, Mississippi that is fortunate enough to welcome mission trip teams and youth leaders to volunteer within our community. These leaders and volunteers work together on local projects such as putting in a new fence in the city park, painting the bleachers and field house of our baseball field, and working with us on our kids camp. We have been lucky enough to spend time with these teams, and now it is our turn to work with them in their communities.

Mission trips are always special, and this will be our 3rd year being able to go on one ourselves. Since starting it has become a highlight for our students, youth leaders, and community members. This summer we have the incredible opportunity to embark on a mission trip to Houston, Texas to serve along two other churches in a Hurricane Harvey relief effort. South Main Baptist Church has invited us to work with them in their community, as they had the opportunity to come serve with us in ours. Our youth worked closely with them to better our own community, and are excited at the prospect to work with them in their own backyard.

We are hoping to bring 12 youth and 4 adults on this trip, and are relying on donations to help with travel expenses, our stay in Houston, and supplies needed for projects. We love being able to give back to not only Shaw, but to the communities that volunteer their time and come to serve with us. Help us achieve our goal of wanting to do meaningful work through this mission trip by donating, and praying for us! There is no better way for us to serve than through the Lord, and we are looking forward to giving back to the greater community!
