Dan Holmes Concert

A fundraising campaign for Royal Family Kids Camp Belvidere

Christian singer/songwriter Dan Holmes will be appearing Friday, March 22 at 6:30 pm at the Belvidere Community Building located at 111 W. 1st Street, Belvidere. Dan first picked up a guitar when he was 10 years old.  He is an "old school singer/songwriter" creating music about the importance of our devotion to God and being the "light of the world".  His musical influences include Paul Simon, Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor and others.  He has performed at over 150 churches in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Ohio and California.  He has also performed at the Illinois State Fair and the Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk For Breast Cancer Cure.  Dan has written music for the Appalachia Service Project and has toured England in 2014 and 2016!  His music will touch you, inspire you and move you!

A dessert table and silent auction will be available throughout the evening.  Proceeds support Royal Family Kids Camp.

A moment can matter in the life of a child.  A moment can change a life’s trajectory.  These statements are the underlying purpose for having a Royal Family Kids Camp each year. Camp is open to foster children from age’s seven to eleven in Boone and Winnebago County.

Each year we plan to take 30 foster children to camp for a week of moments that will empower them:  Swimming, fishing, archery, obstacle courses contribute to self-confidence.  A counselor ratio of two campers to one counselor and family style meals contribute to a sense of security and belonging.  The focus the entire week is to enable a child who has “lost” everything to find security, love, confidence and a future.
