Habitat for Humanity Cornell Match Challenge!

Habitat for Humanity helps first-time homebuyers build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Can you help us meet our match?

Cornell Habitat for Humanity is taking part in a matching grant challenge through Habitat for Humanity International and State Farm.  We're raising funds to support our local affiliate, Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties (TCHFH), and our goal is to raise $5,000 to help local first-time homebuyers build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Your donations (up to $5,000) will be matched thanks to our State Farm Youth matching grant!  All donations stay local and go towards the construction of Habitat homes.  Cornell Habitat volunteers help build these homes, alongside local first-time homebuyers, and have a direct impact on addressing the need for affordable housing in our university community.

TCHFH is currently building 4 houses, all located 3 miles or less from our campus.  The need for affordable homeownership opportunities in Ithaca, and throughout Tompkins County, is tremendous and right in our backyard.  While we do our part to volunteer our time and help build these homes, your donations will also help fund the materials, equipment, and sub-contractors.

Thank you for your support!
