The Connecticut Hospice Tree of Life Fund helps to secure the future of the First American Hospice and Palliative Care Teaching Hospital for both inpatient and home hospice care.
In addition to clinical care, The Connecticut Hospice, through its John D Thompson Hospice Institute for Education Training & Research, provides continuing medical education credits for physicians and serves as a clinical rotation site for over 300 nursing, medical and pharmacy students annually from prestigious institutions throughout Connecticut. These students, along with art and music therapy students, gain rare and valuable “hands on” experience and training. The Institute also provides ongoing certification trainings to help practitioners in the field of hospice care maintain and enhance their skills.
Our two beautiful Trees of Life are mounted on indoor walls of our stunning first floor promenade and are enduring reminders of our connection to the earth, the sky, and to each other.
Patient families and friends may express their love and appreciation to those close to them with contributions that start at $500 and are recognized with a series of engraved leaves and blossoms.
