In September 2019, a group of Cristo Rey Atlanta Jesuit students from the DECA Club made a presentation to the school's Board of Trustees requesting approval to create a revitalized Media Center to be re-named the St. Ignatius Cristo Rey Commons. Students used their vision and business savvy to present a compelling argument to revamp the space to serve students, faculty, and staff in a more efficient way. The new space will reflect the drive, determination, and spark of the hardest working school in Atlanta. The Board was impressed by the student's expertly executed presentation and the plan was unanimously approved. Now we need your help to make this vision a reality!

The newly proposed space will feature:
- Technology-enabled, modular furnishings to accommodate the variety of uses for the Commons, whether it is for small study groups, larger assemblies or instructional use
- Online access to a wide variety of research databases - a virtual library!
- Semi-private meeting rooms for students to collaborate on group projects
- Dedicated student printer/copy center to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Spirit Store - the Flame Pit - to help foster school pride among students, families, alumni, faculty, and staff as well as donors, corporate partners, and visitors.
