Create a More Vibrant Buffalo

A fundraising campaign for Gardens Buffalo Niagara

Each year, Gardens Buffalo Niagara funds beautification projects to help support garden-centric community development. Can you help?

Gardens Buffalo Niagara knows gardening transforms communities--that the creativity and commitment of gardeners keeps communities safer, more beautiful, with better connected neighbors and a healthier environment.

For more than ten years, Garden Walk Buffalo has helped communities garden together and invest in neighborhoods across Buffalo’s West Side through our Lunenfeld Beautification Grants, named after Garden Walk Buffalo’s co-founder, Marvin Lunenfeld.

This year, we are expanding our grant program for community impact in developing neighborhoods across Buffalo, with our new Vibrant Buffalo Beautification Grant!

Focusing on communities currently experiencing economic challenges, this compliment to the Lunenfeld grant program will expand the reach of beautification projects for greater impact in our city.

Each summer, Gardens Buffalo Niagara celebrates the creativity of gardeners and the beauty they bring to their neighborhoods. This July we celebrate the 25th anniversary of Garden Walk Buffalo, our capstone program, welcoming an estimated 65,000 people to 400+ gardens. Tours of Open Gardens on Thursdays and Fridays in July welcomes visitors to 70+ exceptional gardens. The East Side Garden Walk, in its second year, highlights over 40 creative garden

Each program changes the reputation of Buffalo Niagara from a place of snow and rust, to a beautiful blooming region, with the friendliest residents anywhere.

Gardening also helps build environmental health. Gardening projects in key locations can make neighborhoods safer and healthier!

During Garden Walk Buffalo, you'll enjoy over a hundred prior Lunenfeld Grant recipient projects–street side planters, community gardens, light pole banners, garden restorations, rain gardens, public gardens, and more–and see the way they have shaped changing neighborhoods.

As you explore, we invite you to participate in the work of rejuvenating communities in Buffalo.

Your gift--no matter its size--will be put to work building a more beautiful Buffalo.

Our goal for this year is to raise $5,000 to fund beautification grants, making neighborhoods safer, more walkable, and better connected. This supports the launch of the new city-wide grants program, while still supporting the Lunenfeld Beautification Grants. Building beauty across Buffalo makes our whole region stronger.
