Help Library Patrons Access the World

Join forces with the Waynesboro-Wayne County Library to provide computers and technology to the 20,566 residents in rural Wayne County, Mississippi.

The Waynesboro-Wayne County Library currently offers free computer classes on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to citizens of all ages, especially senior citizens.  As technology changes rapidly, five of the 16 public access computers at the library are outdated using Windows XP as the operating system.  If funded, the $1,000.00 from this campaign will purchase a new computers, with Windows 10 as well as a three year on-site warranty.  It is very difficult for patrons to use technology that is so slow to apply for jobs, do online educational classes, apply for government benefits, search for health information, utilize email, pay bills, and search for other necessary information that they need for lifelong learning.
