Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard

This is not a charity. We don’t want to treat hunger; we want to solve it! —Marty Colavito, Prevention Programs Issue Leader

The Sullivan Fresh Community Cupboard delivers food for two (2) meals a day using USDA’s MyPlate nutrition standards to more than 800 food insecure neighbors per week, serving invisible populations in public housing, halfway houses, motels and hotels, seniors, families, migrant workers, disabled veterans, and others living in food deserts in hyper rural housing communities with no transportation and limited access to services.

The Cupboard serves another 100+ folks per month through SALT emergency response deliveries 7 days a week, and a walk-in pantry at CCE Sullivan’s Extension Education Center in Liberty on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9:00am – 12:00pm.

Route deliveries are up 20%, walk-ins up 91%, and emergency deliveries up 132% since January 2025.

The Community Cupboard provides basic sustenance, nutrition education, navigation to community resources, a human connection, and hope to our neighbors.

We serve people like you, people like us. Because that’s what neighbors do.

We need your help to continue serving our community through the Cupboard!

Thank you, and we look forward to continuing to serve farmers, families, and young people in Sullivan County, during good times and bad, for decades to come.

With great thanks,
