Hello Beautiful People,

The Ultimate Reentry is leading the charge in Ithaca and Tompkins County to innovate the way people in reentry and those impacted by the criminal justice system are served and integrated into community upon their return.  Incarceration is a harrowing and humbling experience where no-one is left unscathed.  The collective community innovations that are developed in our organizing are done so with multitude of stakeholders who have high levels of experience working with the population, who also understand the remedies that will improve overall outcomes for people in reentry and justice impacted folks.  Serving as the Backbone Supporting organization in the community, we work to address the determinants health, from the food that is served in the our local jail, health education during incarceration, employment and housing.  Our great work is managed by two full time employees and student employees.  In order to grow and the scale these initiatives in Tompkins County and the FLX region and acquire state level resources, we need to grow our capacity.  Our hope is to hire a new initiatives coordinator that will help the organization to sustain innovation in the initiatives we have collectively created and advance them into the FLX region.  This person will allow us to create a regional coalition that has the ability to bring the necessary resources to our community and to build the projects that will increase the vibrancy and safety of our community.  Thank you in advance for your support and please share this request with at least three other people.
