Background

The late Dolores Saxton-Walker was a successful entrepreneur who worked diligently on behalf of the mission of ChicagoMSDC.  She understood the importance of developing future entrepreneurs by supporting students with excellent academic achievement and leadership skills. ChicagoMSDC’s Minority Business Input Committee established the Dolores Saxton-Walker Scholarship in honor of her commitment to develop young leaders. Scholarship award recipients receive up to $3,000 for college tuition/expenses.

Scholarship donations are recognized in multiple ways at multiple Council events. All large contributors will have their organization’s name or logo included with other donors per category, with the largest donors recognized first.

* ChicagoMSDC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Contributions may be tax deductible. The Council will extend its appreciation for all contributors, including some additional benefits described below.
