Lansing CDC Tech Boosters 2018-2019 Campaign

A fundraising campaign for Lansing Corp. Development Committee

The sole purpose of the Corporate Development Committee of Lansing(CDC) is to support and further the educational opportunities of Lansing students by providing equipment and technology to the Lansing Central School District(LCSD). The CDC Tech Boosters have raised almost a half million dollars, over the past 19 years, for educational investments at the LCSD.

In August of 2015, the CDC presented the Lansing Board of Education with a $22,000 donation. This donation allowed the school to buy 90 new Chromebooks for the 4th graders. It was made possible by the proceeds from our annual CDC fundraiser and Corporate Donations. In the last year, we have also funded the Robotics club (3rd year in a row), donated graphing calculators to the BackPack program, sponsored STEAM events and are preparing to sponsor students to attend the Tech Savvy event in April.

Our 19th annual fundraising event was held on April 16, 2016 at the Lake Watch Inn.  This year’s event was a country western themed dance party with . We are planning fun options like a mechanical bull and a photo booth. Adult refreshments, a BBQ dinner and light snacks will also be available.

Our 2016 event drew many people from Lansing, Ithaca and the neighboring communities. We were hoping to raise $27,000 however we fell short of our goal. We are continuing to solicit corporate donations and are hoping to make our goal by June of 2016.

Examples of other past educational donations include:

    • The CDC proudly engaged “Project Lead the Way” (PLTW) to create an on-site lab for the Technology Education Program.
    • Funded the start-up of the Robotics Club
    • Activboards and ActivExpressions Devices
    • Scholarships have also been created in memory of Robb Cutting for graduating seniors pursuing a career or studies in technology.
    • And much, much more!

We are always looking for energetic, motivated people that like helping the kids to join our group. If you are interested, please contact Stephanie Perine at [email protected].
