The PEARSON Foundation, Inc.—People Employing Available Resources to Strengthen Our Neighborhoods—is a non-profit, 501 C-3, Christian faith-based organization which exists to provide programs and activities through a Prayer-Care-Share approach that add value to people's lives so that entire neighborhoods are transformed. The Foundation very intentionally has targeted (but not exclusively) the Pearson, Carver, Oak Grove and Greenfield communities of Pearl in Rankin County, Mississippi because of their high percentage of socio-economically disadvantaged households. These communities along with similar across the USA are plagued with problems of drugs, teen pregnancies, school dropouts, violence and a host of other ills.

• The Leadership/Mentoring Program meets with three separate groups of Pearl Junior High School boys and two separate groups of Pearl High School boys three days weekly.
• The PEARSON Foundation is the only organization working with youth offenders in the City of Pearl in a post-release Mentoring Program.
• The PEARSON Foundation’s GED program operates at the Payton Garden Apartments and the PEARSON Foundation offices.
