Help Canisius Golf Score Big!

After a strong fall season, we are looking to our alumni, family and friends to help our team take the next step toward our MAAC Championship goal! The Griffs just closed out the 2019 fall season and is already looking forward to the spring portion of our schedule after the team placed in the top-10 in four different tournaments, highlighted by program’s first team tournament championship in more than two decades after the Blue and Gold won the Matthews Auto Intercollegiate event near Binghamton, N.Y. In that tournament, the Griffs posted a team score of 285 (-3), the lowest team score for the program since 2009. Additionally, junior Matt Genaway and sophomore Mike Donner shared individual medalist honors in the rain-shortened event, as both players recorded scores of 68, which was four-under-par. With the spring season right around the corner, we’re looking to improve on our fifth place finish in last year’s MAAC Golf Championship.

We are launching a fall Blue & Gold crowdfunding effort to raise critical resources for our program. Gifts all sizes add up to make a big difference! Each dollar raised through this campaign will go directly to enhancing the overall experience for our student-athletes.

Your gift in support of this campaign will:

  • Offset the cost of using Strakaline Books, green reading books that professionals use, which have positively increased our team’s confidence on the green.
  • Provide us the resources to purchase a Trackman/FlightScope unit to enhance our winter training and assist in proper swing analysis.
  • Increase student-athlete travel to enhance our preparation for the MAAC Championship.

Our success is only possible because of the alumni, family and friends who supported  Canisius Golf last year by providing the resources our team needed to succeed on the course and in the classroom.
