The Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) is starting an unofficial team for the Life Time Chicago Half Marathon & 5K race on September 27th, 2026. Support our runners in their journey to raise funds to directly break down barriers for people who are seeking abortion care across the country.
The Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) is Illinois' statewide abortion fund that provides financial, logistical, and emotional support to people seeking abortion services in Illinois, across the Midwest, and beyond.
Right now, one in four people forced to travel across state lines is relying on Illinois for abortion care. CAF funds people seeking abortions who are coming to Illinois from across the country, and those accessing care in surrounding states. Since the fall of Roe v. Wade, CAF has fielded over 55,000 calls for support – representing people based in 41 states – and they are able to support to 100% of the people they reached relying on Illinois for abortion care. This summer we are "running" up the funds for abortion access to ensure this critical work is able to be sustained!
