CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL IS GOING GOLD TO HELP KIDS FIGHTING CANCER!

Students & athletes will be wearing GOLD apparel for the entire month of September and at their home game on 9/14.

HONORARY GAME CAPTAIN: RILEY

Riley was 4 years old when he was diagnosed with Pineoblastoma, a rare type of brain and spine cancer. Riley endured 31 days of proton radiation, followed by 6 cycles of high dose, inpatient chemotherapy.

Riley relapsed on June 1, 2016, and quickly had surgery to remove the new tumor, followed by one year of outpatient chemotherapy. He began the same chemotherapy regimen beginning in September of 2017 and suffered his first seizure on January 23, 2018. He was hospitalized for 5 1/2 weeks while suffering many more seizures and was placed on a ventilator. During this stay, his family learned that his cancer had returned for the second time. On March 3, 2018, Riley was discharged from the hospital and sent home on hospice care.

Riley passed away on March 19, 2018 after a long, four year battle with brain cancer. No child or family should ever have to suffer the way Riley and his family did. Join Cal’s Angels and fight against pediatric cancer!!!

GOLD GAME: Friday, September 14th, 7:30pm
