Swan Isle Press is an independent, not-for-profit, 501[c][3] literary and academic publisher dedicated to publishing works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in translation that inspire and educate while advancing the knowledge and appreciation of literature, art, and culture.
Swan Isle Press embarked on our mission in 2000 with a special interest in publishing books related to Spanish and Latin American literature. Since then, in addition to having published books in translation from the original Spanish, Swan Isle Press books also include translations from the original Catalan, French, and later in 2019 we will be releasing our first Italian edition in translation.
To date. Swan Isle Press authors are from Argentina, Catalonia, Chile, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, France, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, as well as the United States, as our world literature in translation list continues to grow.
Swan Isle Press's single-language English translations as well as our bilingual editions make contemporary and classic texts accessible to a variety of readers including scholars, students, and general readers. Our bilingual editions recognize the still largely unmet publication needs of the important and growing Spanish-speaking population within the United States.
