Boise High Girls Basketball 22-23

We are extremely proud of our strong girls basketball tradition here at Boise High School. Our program-wide goal is to positively influence the lives of our student-athletes by building character, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Our student-athletes excel both on the court and in the classroom. We also place emphasis on program-wide community service and hold an annual PINK ZONE event which raises funds and awareness for breast cancer research. In our 13 years of holding the PINK ZONE event we've raised over $30,000 for breast cancer research

Last year's season was very special in many ways.   It was a positive step towards normalcy after our truncated season the year before.  All three teams, however,  still had to adhere to COVID regulations and practiced, fully-masked, for the duration of the season.  Still, our coaches and players rose to the occasion and all three teams competed well, all season long.  Specifically, our varsity team finished 2nd in the SIC Conference, won the District Championship, and were State Runner-up. 

This season our program hopes to bring back many aspects of our tradition and culture which were limited due to COVID.  We will open our season by traveling all three teams to North Idaho for games at Lake City and Lewiston.  The charter bus, alone, is estimated to cost $4400.  Tack on a one-night hotel stay for a party of approximately 45 people as well as two days of food and snacks, and it is apparent that this year's fundraising efforts are very necessary. 

Further costs are adding up for this season.  We ordered new uniforms and warm-up tops for varsity which will graduate some very nice sets down to JV and JV's uniforms to the Sophomore team.  We have also booked a unique team building event for all three teams on November 5th at Bodies in Motion.  At this event, our athletes will be challenged with a high ropes course as well as many "Ninja Warrior" style events.  The goal with our visit to Bodies in Motion is to establish community and foster friendships within each team.  

We've created this GiveGab fundraiser to continue supporting our student-athletes and our program as a whole.  Money raised will be used to help fund the expenditures identified above and offer other meals or team building opportunities for all three teams.
