Help students who have been affected by the COVD-19 Pandemic

A fundraising campaign for Borough of Manhattan Community College

BMCC Students Need Your Help

The COVID-19 Global public health crisis has disrupted the lives of millions of New Yorkers, including our students.  In the wake of this crisis, BMCC has created the COVID-19 Student Emergency Fund to support students who now find themselves facing financial struggles that were unforeseen as little as two weeks ago. For many, what little income they have is diminishing rapidly.  Many are confronting the loss of work, loss of child-care options, housing and food insecurity, and are at high risk of dropping out.  We desperately need your help.

By making a contribution to the BMCC COVID19 Student Emergency Fund, you can make a difference in the lives of our students. Most are the first in their families to attend college and more than half are from families with annual incomes of $20,000 or less. Your support will provide emergency funding for housing, food and technology to students who are unable to meet the unexpected financial burdens resulting from the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic.

As noted by Karrin E. Wilks, BMCC’s Interim President, “maintaining our culture of care is now more essential than ever. We are committed to helping our students cope with the many hardships they face in these challenging times.  Your contribution to the BMCC COVID 19 Emergency Fund will provide needed relief to address the immediate and future needs of our students.”
