Giving Tuesday in Bethlehem

One million to go! Help us finish the Georgette Salameh Center and give Palestinian students at Bethlehem University their own space to build community.

A fundraising campaign for Bethlehem University Foundation

Did you know Bethlehem University is the only Catholic-Christian university in the Holy Land? A short walk from Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem University is in its 50th year of educating students in Palestine.

This Golden Jubilee, we have set the goal of raising $50,000 for the Georgette Salameh Center. Bethlehem University students currently lack any facility dedicated towards student learning, recreation, physical and mental well-being, community engagement, and international exchange. This first-of-its-kind center is designed to ensure inclusion of all students, promote gender equality and empowerment, and provide services for physical disabilities and mental health.

The Student Center will include:

  • Student learning and recreation area
  • Fully accessible areas and services for students with disabilities
  • Sports and fitness area including female student facilities
  • 150-seat lecture theater
  • Visitors Center
  • Rooftop terrace that will flow into the existing cafeteria and education buildings
  • Parking Garage

We need to raise the final 1 million dollars in order to have construction complete in May 2023. On this Giving Tuesday, please think of the Palestinian students at Bethlehem University. Image not having a space to commune and socialize on a campus.
