Maximize your impact by becoming a Sanctuary Sustainer! Sustaining donors sign up to donate a set amount each month to help VINE cover our own fixed costs such as food, bedding, equipment maintenance, and routine medications. By playing such a vital role, they become part of the sanctuary.
Sanctuary staff start every day at sunrise, filling food bowls and water troughs. Next comes morning meds. Someone hops on the “big Kubota" to put out several 500lb bales of hay at least every other day. Next comes coop and barn cleaning, including putting down fresh bedding and using the “little Kubota” tractor to haul manure to the compost piles.
Our hard-working and big-hearted animal care team can only do these things every day IF we have food to put in those bowls, IF we have hay on hand, IF we have fresh straw or shavings for bedding, and IF the solar-powered water pump, big tractor, and little tractor are working. (In the winter, it helps if the ATVs and snow removal equipment also are in good repair.)
That’s where you come in. When you become a Sanctuary Sustainer, you will join a special group of people reaching out each month to provide food and care to over 600 animals who call VINE home. By signing up as a monthly donor, you also will provide the financial foundation for our educational programs and animal advocacy efforts.
