The Latah County Historical Society, in collaboration with the University of Idaho Library, has an amazing opportunity to bring a stunning photo exhibition to Moscow for a 5-week run in February and March 2019. "Blake Little: Photographs from the Gay Rodeo" usually costs $3,200 to rent, but we have the chance to exhibit it on the Palouse for just $800, plus shipping costs estimated around $1,500.
"Consisting of forty-one black-and-white photographs taken between 1988 and 1992, Blake Little: Photographs from the Gay Rodeo documents the gay rodeo circuit and the lives of many of its participants in those years. The collected body of work not only serves as a stunning example of black-and- white portraiture and rodeo photography, it also explores the diverse and complex natures of individual and community identity in the West." -- https://eusa.org/exhibition/blake-little-photographs-from-the-gay-rodeo/
We are committed to capitalizing on this opportunity to explore diversity and equity in the American West. Can you help us fund this project? Every dollar helps our small organization cover the costs of rental, shipping, and related programs.
If you'd like to learn more about being an official sponsor of this show, please get in touch! Thank you so much for your generosity.
