The Meaning of Giving / #GivingTuesday +

Ever thought about what it takes to care for hundreds of animals? Pets Alive does on a daily basis, feeding & caring for hundreds of cats, dogs & farm animals.

A fundraising campaign for Pets Alive

Animals come to Pets Alive in many different ways.  Sometimes, an owner can no longer care for the animal for a variety of reasons. But in other cases, it's because a good Samaritan came upon an injured and/or lost animal and brought them to us.

An injured animal will require immediate medical care. Take Sacagawea, a cat who recently came to Pets Alive with not one but two eye injuries, one so severe that the eye had to be removed. She is now at Pets Alive, recovering from her surgery. You can read more about her story HERE.

Often even the healthiest of animals is afraid and scared, having lost its owner and is now in a new, strange environment. And sometimes, animals are extremely shy - like Nana (pictured on the right) - and require extensive training by staff and volunteers to help the animal feel safe and secure. Some animals may be at our sanctuary for an extended period of time before finding their forever home but we never give up hope.
