The Bakersfield Art Association (BAA) raises funds that are distributed as art scholarships and awards to elementary (K-8), high school (9-12), college art students, local art teachers, professional and non-professional adults on an annual basis at the Kern County Fair in the Fine Arts Room in September. Your donations here will help and encourage many young artists as well as developing adult artists (both professional and non-professional).
The BAA also offers two $1,000 art scholarships to qualified students who plan to study fine arts (graduating high school seniors or college art students). Applications are available by contacting chairperson Kathy Schilling at schillingartstudio@sbcglobal.net.
Your donations here will ensure that this organization can continue to give this generous scholarship to two young artist who want to continue their studies. If enough donations are received, the BAA may be able to help more young artists.
