The Any Baby Can Foundation is providing Upward Transitions Therapeutic Horsemanship (UTTH) with an opportunity to showcase our non-profit organization and inform the participating community about our facility, which provides equine therapy for physically, and mentally/emotionally challenged children and Wounded Warriors. UTTH has operated for six years (with its location in Helotes for the past three years), actively serving approximately 30 students and their families by providing weekly, hour-long therapeutic riding lessons bi-annually. Therapeutic riding is a powerful, highly specialized service with an overwhelming need. UTTH is located at Esperanza Farm, within the Northside Independent School District. Within NISD, alone, over 11,000 students qualify for special education and other related services. UTTH is one of only three such organizations in the county and the only one located in NW San Antonio. With such a high need, UTTH's ultimate goal is to reach more than 30 students per session; however, therapeutic riding services are expensive to deliver. Consequently, in order to increase ridership, there is a continual need to increase funding.
