The annual fundraiser was organized to create awareness of what and who the local Quick Response Units are. It began in 2008 and has grown steadily every year with continued support of area businesses, organizations, and individuals in the community. With growth over the years, we have become so much more than an annual event. We are advocates for the cause as a 501c3 organization. Our board members work hard year around searching for and serving at additional fundraising opportunities such as grants, vendor space at community events, selling logo merchandise, and more.

 

To offer appreciation and financial support to some local heroes, we are holding the 13th Annual Quick Response Unit Fundraiser!  Proceeds raised at the event are donated back to local Magic Valley QRUs including: West End (Paul), Filer, Buhl, Hagerman, Salmon Tract (Hollister), Rupert, Rock Creek (Kimberly), Bliss, Castleford, Gooding, Jerome, Shoshone, Dietrich, Carey & Wendell.  We would like to set aside a day of acknowledgement for their efforts and sacrifices and say “Thank you”.  These men and women often sacrifice their evenings, weekends, and family time to stand on call at rodeos, ball games, responding to accidents, and much more.

 

Sunday July 19th, 2020 will be the day dedicated to the 13th annual event and all riding groups and outdoor enthusiasts alike are invited to participate.  The event is held at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds Park.  The days events will include such activities as a registration pancake breakfast and a motorcycle challenge run that has gathered 300-500 registrants in previous years with stops at each of the QRU locations. After the ride, there is a gathering open to everyone in the community that consists of live music entertainment, a raffle drawing, BBQ dinner, bounce house, photo booth and much more!!

Event Date Change

April 15, 2020

For the first time in 13 years due to circumstances outside of our control we have had to push our event date back.  The new date for the 13th Annual QRU Fundraiser is July 19th, 2020.  Same location and event times.  Thought we will be holding the event later in the summer, we hope we will still be able to see everyone there!
