The Akili Girls School is one of the greatest agents of hope we have come across! Located in Kisumu, Kenya and founded by locals Eric Otieno and David Omondi, this school is breathing new hope into the community. Eric & David's vision is to see girls and women reach their full potential and are developing wonderful ways to meet this goal! From a high-quality boarding school to roller skating and basketball activities, they are providing many opportunities for economic empowerment and sustainable social change.
One such project is the Sports Program that will use basketball and roller skating as a platform to teach sexual & reproductive health education, leadership, and life skills. The goal is to engage disadvantaged girls and children and to empower them to become literate, critical thinkers, and the next generation of female leaders in their country!
Gates of Hope's goal is to raise $5,000 in order to build the physical space and then partner with Akili Girls School in developing the sports and leadership curriculum.
Please join with us by considering a financial contribution to this awesome opportunity to love and help shape the lives of the next generation of leaders in Kenya!
