#GivingTuesdayNow

To help counteract the economic and emotional toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, join us in this global movement to promote acts of generosity in our community.

A fundraising campaign for Hill Country Conservancy

Join Hill Country Conservancy for #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5th!

In an effort to help counteract the economic and emotional toll of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are joining this global movement of generosity to promote healing and unity throughout our local Hill Country community.

Join us in the way that works best for you, then connect with us on social media to tell us about your acts of generosity using the hashtags:

#GivingTuesdayNow    #VirtualVolunteer    #HillCountryHowdy

Here's how to participate:

Make a donation to Hill Country Conservancy

We are still working diligently to keep the Violet Crown Trail safe and maintained for your whole family to enjoy, and we continue our land conservation efforts to conserve our precious resources like clean drinking water. We too are economically impacted by the pandemic, and need your help to maintain our current full-powered momentum

Volunteer Virtually

The Violet Crown Trail is the only privately maintained public-access trail in the area, meaning we depend on volunteers to help our maintenance crews keep the trail clean and safe. Since our monthly trail cleanups hosted by Emerging Professionals In Conservation have been put on hold, break out your gloves, mask, and trash bags, and pick up trash on a section of trail near you!

Give a Hill Country Howdy

The easiest way to connect with your community and to show genuine kindness is simply to smile and say hello to people you pass on the Violet Crown Trail. Even though we're physically distanced, we're all in this together. And, because Central Texans are notoriously friendly, any act of kindness can be considered a Hill Country Howdy!

Make a special effort this week to give a Hill Country Howdy to a friend, neighbor, or stranger on the trail.

Support Local Businesses

Supporting a local business is a great way to help many in our community who are feeling the financial effects of the pandemic.

Here are just a few of the local businesses that support Hill Country Conservancy and other nonprofits in the community. Now is a great time to return the love!
