A fundraising campaign for Crossroads Ranch of Harney County

We are a non-profit equine therapy-mentoring center in Burns, Oregon,  set up to serve clients of all ages with many different special circumstances, including those with ADD/ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, Downs’s syndrome, Traumatic Brain Injury, PTSD, family crises such as divorce, abuse and abandonment, among others.

As we have a large Veteran population in our county, we are working closely with our local Veteran's Services office, and plan to provide at least one day per week dedicated solely to working with Veterans and Emergency Responders.

Along with riding therapies, we will offer job and life skills training, and other non-riding therapies and activities such as gardening, cooking, and basic auto mechanics classes, a small petting zoo, a small black-smith shop, a shoe repair facility, and eventually a coffee shop and miniature golf course.

Our first priority is getting a caretakers quarters set up so that we can begin bringing in our horses. The estimate for that project, which includes utility setup and permits is approximately $175,000.00.  Simultaneously a priority is training for 3 Session Leader/ Mentors which we project to be $25,000.00 for the 1st year. We will then begin building horse stables, offices and an indoor riding arena. We are going to refurbish a large warehouse on the property and turn it into usable indoor space for many of the activities mentioned before.
