2026 NanoBioNYC Student Awards Campaign

Support CUNY students who bring their bio-inspired nanoscience solutions beyond the lab!

A fundraising campaign for The Graduate Center

THE NANOBIONYC STUDENT AWARDS

The NanoBioNYC Ph.D. traineeship program, hosted by the CUNY Graduate Center, connects CUNY Ph.D. students to advanced experimental and computational nano and bioscience under the mentorship of CUNY faculty members. In addition to lab training and professional development, NanoBioNYC offers workshop series' to help STEM professionals communicate their research. To celebrate the exceptional CUNY Ph.D. students who take on the challenge of this work and sharing it with others, we have two types of student awards for which we are fundraising this spring:

$250 Student Presentation Award

Awarded to CUNY STEM Ph.D. students who showcase their research at the NanoBioNYC Symposium through a poster, 10-minute oral presentation, and a 5-minute Q&A session.

$3,000 Student Video Award

Awarded to CUNY STEM Ph.D. students who demonstrate a commitment to not only developing bio-inspired nanoscience solutions to urgent societal problems, but also to sharing those solutions beyond the lab in a compelling video format.

Every dollar raised through this campaign will go towards CUNY students like Fariha, Angelina, Kenny, and Crisol—students who demonstrate a commitment to not only developing bio-inspired nanoscience solutions to urgent societal problems, but also a commitment to sharing those solutions beyond the lab. Your gift will equip CUNY students with the skills necessary to become the STEM leaders of tomorrow.
