About the Walk

The Here for Life Walk began in 2006 as a way for individuals to come together to walk with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to support each other and in memory of those who have died by suicide. The funds raised will support vital Suicide Prevention Services in the Illinois Fox River Valley.

The 3 mile walk at Pottawatomie Park in St. Charles, IL starts with a brief moment of silence for those that have died by suicide.

When you gather sponsor pledges and walk with us you:

• Honor the life of someone who died by suicide.
• Show your support to survivors of suicide.
• Forward the cause of suicide prevention.
• Learn what you can do to prevent suicide.

T-Shirts

New this year: Instead of having an abundance of t-shirts on hand, we are offering the official 2026 t-shirt for pre-purchase at $30. Be sure to secure yours in advance!

Pre-purchase will end on August 17, 2026. Limited extras will be ordered and sold on the day of the event for $35. It will be a first come first served basis for extras.

Memory Markers

Memory Markers will be available for purchase for $100, must be ordered by September 7th. They are a tribute to your loved ones. Each Marker honors your loved one by including their picture, date of birth, and date of passing. Each marker will have its own stand and line the walk route. This is a great way to memorialize a loved one and make a donation to Suicide Prevention Services of America.

Memory Markers must be purchased in advance by contacting the office at admin@spsamerica.org or calling 630-482-9699.

Pinwheels

Memorial Pinwheels will be for sale for $5.00 per pinwheel.

GOLD Here for Life! Walk Sponsor — $2,000

Gold sponsors will have their name included on the back of all t-shirts given to the walkers. Mentions in regular announcements by the event DJ and a listing on our event website as well as a dedicated post on social media.

SILVER Here for Life! Walk Sponsor — $1,500

Silver sponsors will receive regular mentions by the event DJ and will be listed on our event website and a dedicated social media post.

Bronze Here for Life! Walk Sponsor — $1,000

Bronze sponsors will be listed on our event website, and a dedicated social media post.
