2023 Cheer & Dance College National Championships

For 4 years, the University of South Dakota Cheer & Dance Teams have been competing at UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship at The Walt Disney World Resort. Our National Competition has been the culmination of the season for cheer and dance to showcase their skills. It’s the most prestigious collegiate national championship in the country and the perfect opportunity for the University of South Dakota to share their Game Day traditions on the National stage. Our Cheer and Dance teams are made up of 50 student athletes. For both teams to compete on the national stage we must hit our fundraising goal of $70,000. This fundraising covers registration, flights, food, and transportation for all student-athletes during the entire competition from January 11th-16th.

Throughout the year USD Cheer and Dance are on the sidelines at home & away Football games, home Men’s & Women’s Basketball games, and home Volleyball games. They practice three times a week, team lift twice a week, and attend team study hours throughout the week. We focus on four core values: community service, healthy lifestyle, campus events, and academic and professional development.

Contributions to the USD 2023 Cheer & Dance College National Championships will allow our student-athletes to showcase their hard work and celebrate their love for the University of South Dakota. If you choose to sponsor a specific athlete on our teams, you can specify that in the contribution form under "Add a Message" when making your donation.
