About the Organization

Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County

On an annual basis, we care for more than 1,400 homeless pets in need. We also work towards solving root problems in our community that lead to pet homelessness and animal cruelty. We offer low cost pet vaccination clinics and a pet food pantry to support pet owners in our community. We offer Compassion Camps and school-based programs to children, giving them the opportunity to develop a compassionate and responsible awareness of pets. We work with local law enforcement to respond to animal cruelty complaints and to assist with investigations. As a result of this work, we often take in animals who have been neglected or abused and are in need of veterinary care and socialization. We are also active in legislative advocacy, working to improve the laws that protect pets in New Hampshire.
