Dear EmpowerMT Friends, Supporters, and Partners,
Like all of you, we at EmpowerMT are riding the wave of uncertainty, heartbreak, fear, and the unknown. The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted our organization’s operations and we have had to make some drastic and unexpected decisions in our response. As a tiny nonprofit with a mighty mission, EmpowerMT is an essential resource to our state and your contribution, no matter the size, can ensure we can weather this storm and thrive on the other side. Your donation will help us continue our much needed and requested resources in the following ways:
- Continuing our after-school youth programs - our youth programs team is working diligently to continue our youth programs online and when possible phasing into face-to-face meetings in safe and healthful ways.
- Broadening our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion training to businesses and organizations - we're still providing businesses and organizations all of our same trainings virtually. Now more than ever organizations can benefit from trainings that address workplace climate and inclusion and ensuring workplace conflict is negotiated in productive and positive ways.
- Outreaching our broader communities and addressing systemic inequality - our Racial Justice Engagement Specialist, Alex Kim is working with our partners through Missoula IDEA (Inclusion Diversity Equity Alliance) to address oppression, racism, and systemic inequality that has only been escalated by the coronavirus pandemic.
We are committed to being innovative and creative to accomplish our mission and vision. The systemic inequalities that exist in our coutry are amplified right now and the mission of EmpowerMT is as relevant as ever. Help support us in this effort!
