"We move beds every week for our guests in shelter; the
Bed Race is a metaphor for what our families go through..."
Our shelter beds are literally on wheels because each week we move to a new congregation who provides food and shelter for our families.
In 2015, The Bed Race to End Childhood Homelessness was created :
a quirky event that would bring together something fun and
meaningful for those participating.
How does it work? We have each team of five people, 4 racers and 1 rider, build a bed to race on wheels. Different themes are created for some, others focus on speed.
Prizes are given for both. In 2020, they convene on February 29th to race 100 yards down the track, and compete for the fastest time.
