Animals can't help themselves. They depend on us. The sweet hearts we save not only face homelessness and starvation but many have also been the victims of unconscionable acts of abuse and neglect. These special animals need urgent and ongoing medical care to reach a point where they are strong and healthy again. Your donation today will help Community Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA) provide the emergency vet care needed so the lost and forgotten can find their way to safety, health, and best of all -- a loving family.

Schultz was found roaming the streets during the summer heat of 2017. He was badly sun burned, neglected and emaciated. His little ears were so infected from flies and fleas he had no hair on them. At CARA he received skin treatments and lots of love and care until he was adopted into a loving family.
Bruno was found in a nearby neighborhood. He was suffering horribly after being shot in the leg. After 3 days of multiple medicines it was decided he needed amputation. Bruno would have died from infection had he not been brought to CARA.
Bossy was one of 16 kittens crammed into one milk crate and brought to CARA. They were infested with parasites and had been neglected and suffering for some time. Since kittens are very susceptible to infection, most of her friends did not make it, but Bossy pulled through and is now thriving.

Aspen was found in the cold, abandoned in front of an empty house. She was suffering from a broken leg and malnutrition. Fortunately her leg was saved by emergency surgery. Aspen made a full recovery and was adopted up North to a wonderful family.
