There’s one week left until #GivingTuesday! It’s time to kick it into high gear. With a 24 hour event like #GivingTuesday, building anticipation is key to driving traffic to your campaign. That’s why it’s important to get all of your supporters to start counting down with you! Don’t rely on just the day itself to drive traffic to your cause.

Last week, Heather was trying to find the best way to utilize online crowdfunding and figure out a social media strategy that works best for her nonprofit. This week, we checked in to see how Heather’s doing with her #GivingTuesday campaign and to see how she’s continuing to plan to get everything ready for the big day.

One of the biggest steps to making #GivingTuesday a success is introducing the concept to your board members and gaining their support. By sharing your #GivingTuesday campaign within their networks, you can multiply your potential online audience.

Keep in mind that getting your message to stand out sometimes requires more than a collection of tweets. Be sure to give your supporters the tools and proper messaging they need to spread the word via their networks.

There are many simple things you can do to drastically improve the impact your campaign has. Visuals, such as videos and images, do a fantastic job of showing a large amount of information in a brief and appealing way.
