On June 1, 2018, from midnight to midnight, Giving is Gorges brought in almost $90,000 from 968 donors to 67 participating nonprofit organizations.
The day was presented and powered by GiveGab, with support from the Community Foundation of Tompkins County, Association of Fundraising Professionals – Finger Lakes Chapter, and Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce.
Giving is Gorges Leaderboards
Throughout the 24 hours, participating nonprofits with the Most Raised and Most Donors were displayed and updated in real-time on the Giving is Gorges Leaderboards.
Topping the Leaderboards for having the Most Raised and the Most Donors was Food Bank of the Southern Tier!
Giving is Gorges Prizes
Giving is Gorges Prizes included various “power hours” to accelerate giving throughout the day, like the Lunch Break Power Hour, awarded to the organization with the most unique donors between the hours of 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
Congratulations to the SPCA of Tompkins County and all the other prize winners this year!

It didn’t stop team GiveGab either! We set up a table for Giving is Gorges during the Ithaca Festival to help promote the day with flyers and button-makers.
We also had the pleasure of interviewing a few of the participating nonprofits about what Giving is Gorges means for their organizations, and here is what they had to say:
