Nonprofits throughout New York State are marking their calendars this year for a very special #GivingTuesday celebration, New York Gives Day!
New York Gives Day (#NYGivesDay), the first statewide Giving Day for the entire state of New York, will occur on November 29th, 2016, thanks to the collaborative efforts of the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) and United Way of New York State (UWNY).
Here are some of the many benefits of participating in #NYGivesDay:
Tons of Resources to Help you Succeed
The New York Gives Day team has one primary goal for this giving day and that’s to make participating nonprofits as successful as possible! That’s why they’ve joined forces to provide free personalized training sessions, webinars, coaching emails, how-to articles, promotional materials, downloadables, and more! – all available on NYGivesDay.org.
Free Use of Robust, Modern Software
Nonprofits who join #NYGivesDay get to build a customized profile, tell their story, and seamlessly collect online donations with GiveGab’s powerful fundraising software – absolutely free (only standard third party credit card fees will apply). Increased Engagement and Exposure
As a participating nonprofit on the official #NYGivesDay 2016 website, you’ll be exposed to more potential donors and leverage all the marketing and PR associated with the day at no cost.
Enriched Philanthropy in your Community
Through the giving day, you can use the statewide giving momentum to help inspire more people to give locally, raise awareness of other nonprofits throughout your community, and contribute to raising money for community good.
Statewide Giving Data
Participating in New York Gives Day helps contribute to the collective monetary goal of $10 million, which will get more supporters and nonprofits excited about contributing to something bigger and motivate donors to continue giving in the future.
