Readathon 2015

Raising Funds for Your Library One Word at a Time

A fundraising campaign for Friends of the Villa Park Library
You are invited to come out and support our first ever Cool Readathon!  The Friends of the Library will be welcoming over 24 Cool Readers to participate in a continuous reading marathon on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to promote literacy and life long learning within our community.  
Funds raised at this event will be used to purchase Youth and Adult materials, along with technology and programming enhancements.  

Our Cool Readers will include:
  •  9:00  Dan Hippensteel, Lydia Hodges, Mark McCleary, Matt Matkowski, Library Board Members
  •  9:30  Deborah Conroy, Illinois State Representative
  • 10:00 Tom Cullerton, Illinois State Senator
  • 10:30 Vydas Juskelis, Public Works Director

  • 11:30  Renee Reynolds, Principal, Jackson Middle School
