Hayden, now 11 years old, is thriving in school on the High Honor Roll, socializing with friends in her Girl Scout troop, and taking part in many activities like gymnastics and SPCA summer camp. Hayden has grown so much since her days at Racker Centers, but both her and her parents, Traci and Mike, will always have fond memories of her early years spent at Racker Centers with her teachers and therapists.
From the 2009 Annual Report: "Since Hayden began attending the Centers program at 18
months of age, Traci credits both David, the toddler program teacher, and
Patrick, Hayden’s special education preschool teacher, with her progress.
“Hayden wears hearing aids and glasses and when she came to Racker Centers she
wasn’t even walking.” Traci also gives lots of credit to the therapists that
worked with Hayden on her speech, physical mobility, and occupational
skills.“She started walking when she was in the special education preschool classroom and the staff were so focused on her goals. Racker Centers was so
much a part of our life that it was nerve wracking to make the leap to put
Hayden into a typical kindergarten.”
